Job Title: Electrical Technician – 3rd Shift

Location: Columbia City, IN

Shift: 3rd Shift (9:00 PM – 5:30 AM), Monday – Friday

Compensation: $125K–$135K Total First-Year Compensation (Base + Bonus + Profit Sharing + OT)

Orion Talent is hiring an Electrical Technician to join our world-class team at our steel joist fabrication plant in Columbia City, IN. In this high-impact role, you’ll maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems for production and facility equipment, supporting a fast-paced, high-efficiency manufacturing operation. Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting for machinery and facility systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with high-voltage (up to 480V) AC/DC motors, controls, and circuits.
• Install, repair, and upgrade electrical equipment including PLCs, motor controllers, and distribution systems.
• Use schematics and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Support equipment downtime planning, preventive maintenance, and process improvements.
• Work as part of a high-performing maintenance team on a rotating shift.
• Assist with facility electrical upgrades and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience (or equivalent military experience as an Electrician’s Mate, Electronics Technician, or similar).
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical theory, motors, motor controls, and start circuits.
• Proficiency with electrical schematics, voltage readings, and logic/switches.
• High Voltage (480V), AC/DC systems experience required.
• Willingness to take a technical electrical assessment prior to hire.
• Team-oriented, safety-conscious, and eager to learn and grow within a leading company.
