Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Hartford County

Monday - Friday, 5 am to 1:30 pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform maintenance on the facility, including electrical, mechanical, and electronic repairs.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in CNC-controlled mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines operate efficiently.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
• Install, repair, and replace worn or defective parts, motors, control devices, and electronics.
• Troubleshoot all equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using repair manuals and parts catalogs as needed.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to identify malfunctions.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
• Dismantle equipment using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools to access and remove defective parts.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to complete required maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety and health regulations.
• Complete OSHA and other job-specific training as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience:

• At least five years’ experience in maintenance within a similar environment or equivalent education
• Experience in electronics, electrical repairs, industrial equipment installation, alignment, start-up repairs, and crane operations.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and basic wiring, including 480V through control voltage, basic PLC knowledge, relays, and starters.
• Pre-employment physical exam, medical history check, drug screening, and background check required
• Must be flexible with all shifts and available for overtime as needed.
• Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet.
• Ability to work extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and loud noises.
• Ability to physical activity ifting objects up to 50 pounds and standing or walking for over six hours per day.
• Must be able to climb portable ladders, crawl under and onto machinery, and enter/exit confined spaces.
• Exposure to workplace hazards or physical risks requires strict adherence to safety protocols and the use of approved protective equipment.
• Must be available for 24-hour emergency response.
