Job Description

An industry leading food & beverage company is looking for a Senior Manager, CAPEX Project Engineering to join the global engineering team for the execution of large-scale capital projects!

Responsibilities

• Lead Capital Planning & Innovation: Drive short- and long-term capital project planning aligned with company goals, incorporating new technologies and ideas for competitive advantage, in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Project & Team Coordination: Ensure seamless coordination among internal teams, subcontractors, and clients, while maintaining compliance with company, contract, and client standards.
• Risk Management & Process Improvement: Identify and address critical equipment risks, collaborate with maintenance teams, and consider cross-functional impacts when implementing facility improvements.
• Leadership & Employee Development: Support supervisors in managing employee relations, performance, and development, while fostering a positive work environment and resolving workplace issues effectively.
• Staff Oversight & Resource Optimization: Assign work, evaluate performance, and manage recruitment and retention to ensure efficient and cost-effective use of personnel.

Project Management

• Project Leadership & Performance Oversight: Serve as Senior Project Manager for key initiatives, overseeing planning, forecasting, resource allocation, and ensuring projects meet quality, budget, and schedule targets.
• Engineering & Technical Excellence: Ensure compliance with engineering codes and standards, provide technical solutions and root cause analysis for complex equipment issues, and support construction and commissioning efforts.
• Strategic Budgeting & Cost Optimization: Lead global engineering budgeting processes, monitor expenditures, drive cost reduction strategies for capital and maintenance projects, and communicate project status to stakeholders and senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related
• 10+ years of experience in engineering and project management
• Food industry experience- dairy preferred
• Experience leading projects at least $20MM in budget (greenfield, brownfield, expansion, etc)
