Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for a wide range of accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, financial analysis, and audit support. This role is instrumental in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accrual and other journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation in accordance with best practices.
  • Support consolidated and/or statutory audits by preparing deliverables and addressing audit inquiries.
  • Prepare financial statement footnotes, monthly fluctuation analyses, and controller package schedules.
  • Conduct account analysis and research to ensure accuracy and understanding of account activity.
  • Prepare complex reconciliations, schedules, and financial reports.
  • Provide correcting entries for reconciling items and implement process improvements to minimize future discrepancies.
  • Support the Accounting Operations team by executing general activities aligned with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) standards.
  • Provide cross-training, mentoring, and support to peers.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments on accounting-related projects.
  • Foster a team-oriented environment by contributing to problem-solving efforts and supporting co-workers.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative and the ability to work independently or collaboratively to meet deadlines.

  • CPA certification or active CPA candidate.
  • Experience working with Oracle accounting systems.
